Profile Anita Wynne 

Lisa Bailey, HR Specialist

Lisa is one of beststart HUMAN RESOURCES' HR Specialists. She is a career HR professional, having worked in both large and small companies in the UK. In addition, she has notable experience of working abroad with SG Securities (HK) Holdings and with overseas offices in countries right across the globe. This broad experience enables Lisa to adapt her skills to the culture within different organisations.

Primarily within the financial services industry, Lisa has worked in human resources since the mid 1980s. She began her career providing payroll services at the London School of Economics and 3 years later, combined this knowledge with a HR benefits role at a bank and stockbrokers. Over a 12 year period where she was employed by companies including Barclays de Zoete Wedd and Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, she covered employee benefits and undertook HR Generalist roles.


Claire Thompson, HR Specialist

Claire is one of beststart HUMAN RESOURCES' HR Specialists. She has strong business acumen and an ability to ensure that HR processes and objectives remain commercially focused. Her extensive knowledge and skill base stems from a 21-year career in both HR Generalist and Specialist roles in a number of different sectors.

Claire's HR career began in the retail sector working for Marks and Spencer where she pursued a diverse career. As she progressed within the company, she was responsible for HR teams in large stores and then held accountability for 4 National Distribution Centres. A move to Head Office saw Claire perform a Specialist role overseeing the design and delivery of the complete suite of candidate selection tools for a range of roles.


Anita Wynne CFCIPD, HR Specialist

Anita is a Director and Co-Founder of beststart HUMAN RESOURCES. Among the many client projects undertaken since establishing beststart, Anita has overseen the hands on restructure and redundancy exercise for a medium sized law firm; a full benefits and compensation review for a number of organisations; and the introduction of a range of performance management systems.  This is on top of helping many organisations become legally compliant with practical contracts and handbooks.

She is a seasoned human resources professional with a career spanning 22 years. Her HR experience incorporates 5 years in the retail sector at Marks & Spencer, one and half years in manufacturing with GEC Marconi Avionics and 6 years in investment/ professional firms culminating in being a Vice President at JPMorgan Chase.

More recently, Lisa has been a Vice President at Credit Suisse Asset Management where she worked closely with the business for 8 years. She assisted with recrutiment, employee relations, FSA Approved Persons regime and global annual processes including appraisal, performance management and development, talent management and employee relocations. She was a Business Partner supporting offices in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Asia and the US and assisted managers with senior level recruitment for the UK and EMEA with interviews, package development, negotiation and drafting complex offers of employment.

Prior to joining beststart, Lisa was a HR Consultant for SMEs from various sectors.










Claire's particular strength and passion has always been Training and Development. After leaving M&S she became a Freelance Trainer for an organisation delivering soft skills workshops for SMEs and also several blue chip names.

Prior to joining beststart, Claire was a HR Business Partner within the global mobile telecommunications giant T-Mobile where she was responsible for delivering HR strategic projects for the South East and West regions of the UK.

Claire has a Diploma in Psychotherapy & Counselling, is a qualified NVQ Assessor and is Hogan Assessment trained.








Since 2001, Anita has been a freelance HR Tutor in the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development's (CIPD) post-graduate qualifications. In parallel with her tutoring prior to beststart, Anita was also a HR Consultant and has undertaken a number of HR projects including some for not-for-profit organisations.

Her more recent focus has allowed her to combine her broad sector experience of HR in blue chip names with knowledge of best practice in both small and large companies and issues at all levels of an organisation. Even today, Anita continues to enjoy some tutoring and this requires her to keep diligently up to date with the continually changing employment law and the most effective way to implement it.

Anita is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and holds level A & B Certificates in Occupational Testing.
