Katie has held a variety of HR Management and Strategic Business Partnering roles supporting a variety of levels within organisations in both the private and public sectors. She is competent liaising with lawyers, occupational health and trade unions alike.
In 2007, she started her HR career with Morrisons Supermarkets PLC and over the following decade held senior HR Management positions including Appeal and Grievance HR Manager for her region. Katie handled the complete employee lifecycle of colleagues within stores and supported Managers to ensure operational aspects were appropriate for trade.
At Stevenage Borough Council, Katie was a HR & Organisational Development Business Partner and was HR lead for both small and large transformation programmes including restructures, team cohesion and engagement surveys. Managing the Engagement and Communication strand of the Workforce Plan, she also introduced new policies to the Council such as ones for Volunteering and Hybrid Working and produced toolkits to support a ‘self-serve approach’ for Line Managers.
Most recently, Katie was HR Manager for One Housing. She managed the HR team and over a 12-month period reduced by 80% the employee relations case load leading to the introduction of preventative measures and tools to support Line Managers. In addition, Katie created an Apprenticeship Programme, redefined the casual worker process and a undertook a large-scale DBS Project.
Katie has a BA (Hons) degree in Business and Marketing and holds the CIPD Level 5.
